"I was an ordinary child with amazing parents. My life changed when I became a victim of sexual assault and the trauma that came from it. I found myself swallowed by the darkness we call addiction, and I lost custody of my firstborn child.
Amidst the chaos, I found myself pregnant again, lost in a world that seemed too big. Clinging to sobriety and praying for change, I stumbled into a Women's shelter, surrounded by strangers. Little did I know, this was the beginning of a significant chapter in my life. My true healing journey began when I found the Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre. They didn't just teach me about myself, they became my community, my support system, and my family. Their impact on my life is immeasurable.
I was certain they would judge me for the sins and trauma of my past. But instead, they welcomed and listened to me, helping me see myself as someone worthy of healing and a future. The source of my wounds and scars led me to the Healthy Relationships Program. It was the hardest step in my journey, but necessary to build the foundation of grace I stand on today. Within the doors of the Pregnancy Care Centre, I found perseverance and discovered my calling. I found joy and hope in raising my children, and with the CAPCC's help, I found the courage to apply for post-secondary education. Today, I hold a degree in my chosen field, a testament to the transformation I underwent.
Every passing day is a reminder of what I've learned. I have worth, and I am capable of anything! I hold hope in my heart, knowing that there is always light, no matter how dark the tunnel may seem."
It is a privilege to walk alongside women, men, and families facing situations like these and to be part of their healing and transformation. For more than 35 years, we have been able to do so only through your financial gifts. Without you, we cannot continue to provide education and compassionate support, becoming part of the journey our clients travel. Regardless of the amount, your donation significantly impacts our ability to meet our clients needs. Please donate today and be part of a community that helps provide clients with a future full of hope and possibilities, a future we all can look forward to with optimism and inspiration! Thank you!
With Gratitude,
